Vintage Chinese Child Holding Koi Fish Bobble Head Figurine

Charming vintage Chinese hand-painted resin bobble head figurine depicting a child holding a koi fish, beautifully crafted with colorful traditional details and playful character.

In Chinese culture, children (Tongzi) and koi fish are treasured symbols of good fortune, prosperity, abundance, happiness, and family blessings. Together they represent the beloved proverb “Nian Nian You Yu” (年年有余), meaning “May You Have Abundance Year After Year.”

The koi fish symbolizes wealth, success, perseverance, and prosperity, while the child represents joy, fertility, family continuity, and future blessings. This meaningful combination has long been displayed to attract good fortune and abundance into the home.

What makes this collectible especially unique is its whimsical bobble head feature. Traditional Chinese figurines are typically static, making this interactive nodder design a delightful novelty piece that combines cultural symbolism with vintage charm and playful character.

Beautifully hand-painted and full of personality, this collectible figurine makes a wonderful addition to curio cabinets, shelves, offices, Asian décor collections, and vintage display settings.
